About Tiwa Brazil

Derived from the Tupi-Guarani language, the ancestral dialect of indigenous communities, Tiwa means abundance, mirroring the opulent wealth akin to the bountiful resources found in the heart of Brazil.

Tiwa Brazil was founded by passionate coffee enthusiasts and seasoned entrepreneurs, Juliana Cangiano and Bassel Awada, both distinguished taste connoisseurs hailing from the realms of luxury and fashion. With extensive backgrounds in renowned international brands, their six-year stint in Italy cultivated a refined palate for exceptional coffee flavours.

The journey into the world of coffee commenced in Brazil, Juliana's homeland, specifically in the city of Santos—an eminent port for coffee exports in South America. During their visits, they forged strong connections with some of Brazil's finest specialty coffee farmers. As taste connoisseurs, their mission is to bring this refined coffee experience to the UAE, partnering with select roasters who share their unique DNA and aspirations.

Beyond their love for coffee, Juliana and Bassel are deeply committed to environmental stewardship. Their overarching goal includes establishing Ikamar, a nature conservation center in Brazil. This center aims to protect the flora and fauna while educating the public on the beauty and importance of nature. At Tiwa Brazil, their vision extends beyond coffee; it encompasses a sustainable and harmonious relationship with both the environment and the community.
